313design lab Inc. ("313design lab", "we", "us", or "our") is based in the Republic of Korea. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with 313.design, our email subscriptions, inquiries, and purchases from us where those services are available.
Our website presents products and may offer direct purchases and links to external purchasing platforms. An external platform's own privacy notice also applies to information it collects. This policy covers information that we receive and process; it does not replace another provider's notice.
1. Information we collect and why
Email subscriptions. Our subscription form asks for your first name, last name, and email address. We use these details to manage your subscription and send the product news, updates, and offers you request.
Inquiries and support. If you contact us, we receive your email address, the information in your message, and any relevant order details or attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Please do not send payment card details or unnecessary sensitive information by email.
Direct purchases, when available. Information requested at checkout may include your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, items ordered, and transaction details. We use the information needed to process the order, arrange delivery, provide support, and handle cancellations, returns, and refunds. The checkout notice will identify the payment provider and explain the payment information it collects.
Purchases through external platforms. If you purchase our products through a marketplace, retailer, or crowdfunding platform, we may receive order and contact information from that platform when needed to fulfill the order or provide support. The information we receive depends on the platform and our role in the transaction.
Technical information. Website infrastructure may process your IP address, browser information, requested URLs, timestamps, and error or security logs to deliver the site, diagnose problems, and protect the service. Email services may process delivery and interaction information, such as opens or link clicks, depending on campaign settings and your email software.
We process information for the purposes described above using the basis permitted by applicable law, such as your consent, steps needed to fulfill a contract or your request, and legal obligations. Where a separate consent is required, this notice does not replace it. Reading or browsing this website is not, by itself, consent to email marketing.
2. Email subscriptions and cookies
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting either address listed below. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary communications about an order or support request.
Browser and email settings can limit cookies, remote images, and some tracking technologies. Some settings may affect service functionality. Any additional analytics, advertising, or non-essential cookie tools require the notices and choices applicable to their actual use; this policy does not give blanket permission for them.
3. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers to deliver website and subscription functions:
Mailchimp (Intuit): manages email subscriptions and campaigns. Our subscription integration sends the name and email address you submit to Mailchimp.
Netlify: hosts the website and processes requests to website functions, including the subscription endpoint. This can involve technical request information and the information submitted through that endpoint.
Where direct sales are offered, payment, delivery, and other order-processing providers may receive the information necessary for their role. The relevant providers and processing details will be disclosed with the applicable service before those arrangements are introduced.
We may also disclose information where required by law or a valid legal request, or where legally permitted and necessary to protect rights and investigate misuse. Processing by service providers is distinct from purchases or other interactions you independently choose to make on third-party sites.
4. Processing outside the Republic of Korea
Our use of service providers can involve processing information outside the Republic of Korea. Mailchimp states that its servers are located in the United States. When you submit the subscription form, your name and email address are transmitted electronically to Mailchimp through our website service to manage your subscription and send emails.
Subscription information is retained for the subscription purpose described below, subject to applicable legal requirements and the provider's processing arrangements. You may decline to subscribe or request that your subscription be ended through either contact address. If the necessary overseas processing cannot take place, we cannot provide that email subscription through Mailchimp; you can still browse the website.
Any separate notice, consent, or other legal basis required for an international transfer must be provided or obtained in accordance with applicable law. This policy is not a substitute for those requirements.

5. Retention and deletion
We retain information for the purpose for which it was collected and for any additional period required by applicable law. Subscription information is retained while you remain subscribed or until the subscription purpose ends. Once you unsubscribe, it is no longer used to send marketing emails. Any limited opt-out or consent record retained to honor your choice or meet a legal obligation must be limited to that purpose.
Inquiry and support information is retained as needed to resolve the request and any related legal obligations or disputes. Technical records are retained for the relevant operational and security purposes. Provider-specific storage and backup arrangements may also affect when deletion is completed.
Where Korean electronic commerce record-retention requirements apply to our transactions, the following periods apply to the relevant records:
- Contracts and cancellation or withdrawal records: 5 years.
- Payment and supply of goods or services records: 5 years.
- Consumer complaints and dispute-resolution records: 3 years.
- Display and advertising records: 6 months.
These periods do not mean that every newsletter subscription or inquiry must be retained for the same length of time. Information kept solely to meet a legal retention requirement is restricted to that purpose. When information is no longer needed and no lawful retention requirement remains, it is to be deleted or destroyed using an appropriate method that prevents recovery.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction or suspension of processing, or withdrawal of consent. Send your request to either email address below and describe the information or service concerned. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some requests may be limited where records must be retained by law or another lawful exception applies; in that case, we will explain the reason as required. You may also raise a concern with the competent privacy authority, including the Personal Information Protection Commission in the Republic of Korea.
7. Security and younger users
Personal information requires appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security. If a personal information incident occurs, we will address it and provide any notifications required by applicable law.
Our email subscription form is intended for people aged 18 or over. If you believe a child has provided information through the subscription service, contact us so that we can review and address the matter in accordance with applicable law.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, processing practices, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Where required, we will give additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect. A policy update does not retroactively authorize a new use of information that requires separate consent.
